Ashwaganda is often used to help with memory. Studies have shown that it can help slow down memory loss and may help improve memory. There are many things that can attack your brain and hurt your memory. One recent study shows that artificial sweeteners can actually damage brain cells and possibly impact memory. Your brain has synapses which send signals and tell your body what it should do, and send a message to the brain. These synapses tell your brain if something is sweet, and what studies have shown is that artificial sweeteners can over stimulate these synapses and cause them to explode. The crazy thing is that these sweeteners are in everything and it would be hard not to eat or drink something that doesn’t use these. Another great reason why supplementing with Ashwagandha, is that it may protect you from these harmful substances.
Probably the most common theme due to brain health is stress. Stress is something that life will throw out at you, it’s inevitable. Stress can lead to the brain aging faster than you would like to think. Supplementing with Ashwagandha has more benefits than it does side effects. There is still a lot more research that will come with Ashwagandha, but for now there is only one reported side effect, but it is unclear if it was due to supplementing with Ashwagandha. If you are thinking about trying Ashwagandha, order it before you forget… that’s a joke. In all seriousness, why not give it a shot. All you have to lose is memories.
