New Government tests are said to show LightSquared technology could knock out GPS devices. This preliminary data from these tests say that LightSquared has not yet solved the problem it has with personal, business and military GPS.

LightSquared responds with a fiery email saying they are outraged by the illegal leak of incomplete government data to news organizations. They claim the statement that testing shows that most GPS devices would be disrupted by LightSquared operation is patently false.

So who is telling the truth? The government or LightSquared?

That is the question we have to ask. I don’t know. Does anyone?

If there is a real problem LightSquared should either fix it or get out of the way. On the other hand if they have fixed it, why is the government saying they didn’t?

This is one of the most perplexing cases we have ever seen. And it is far from being over.
