AT&T reported a 10 percent rise in second quarter earnings thanks to growing smart phone sales and to wireless margins.

That is a very strong quarterly performance.

I remember when the marketplace was calling for doom at AT&T when they lost the Apple iPhone exclusive. AT&T keeps surprising us all with their stick-to-it-ness.

It continues to grow rapidly in wireless and even in that smart phone space many were worried about.

While the traditional wire line business may be declining, wireless, Internet and uVerse television are rising.
