Samsung hits it out of the park.
The new Samsung Galaxy S III has hit the 10 million market in it’s first two months. That’s a very healthy rate.
This device is sold on a wide variety of networks which gives Samsung this unique opportunity.
This may be the closest to an Apple iPhone in the market today.
It’s a very thin device with a very large screen. It is thin, but it still has a pretty big footprint.
This is for users who want a huge screen, not a small device.
This device was introduced May 29, 2012.
Samsung promised to hit the 10 million mark in two months and they in fact did just that. Incredible.
This Samsung Galaxy S III sold 10 million in less than two months.
The Galaxy S II hit the 10 million mark in five months.
The Galaxy S hit the 10 million mark in seven months.
Given this track record, I wonder how quickly they will sell the next version Galaxy S IV and V and so on.
This is fun to watch, and is a big win for Samsung, but it also has a dark side. From now on Samsung needs to keep breaking this record or the market will wonder what’s wrong.
Success is a double edged sword.
