All Weather History In 1996, Kim & Oanh Blake purchased AWWD; they are the driving force behind the company today. Even though the company has grown and expanded product lines, the Blakes’ continue to foster that neighborly, can-do attitude when servicing the communities surrounding the Kansas City area. When the City of Mission purchased our property at 5601 Johnson Drive for the Rock Creek Floodplain improvements, Kim moved the offices and showroom to its present location at 5410 Johnson Drive. Today, the showroom and offices are easy to find in downtown Mission by its signature, bright yellow awning! Not only has All-Weather Window & Door maintained local ownership within the Mission area, but also, the ownership aggressively participates in the many civic activities the City of Mission sponsors. AWWD annually contributes thousands of dollars in material and labor to help others. Over the years, The Keys Home for Boys in Mission, The Bridge Home for Boys and the Bridge Home for Girls have all been recipients of Kim Blake’s civic-minded generosity.
