27th November 2014 – The Children’s International Film Festival organizing in Dubai has announced filmmaking workshops for young people. Filmmaking can be fun as well as challenging at the same time. It is neither an art form, nor a science. In fact, it is a pure and perfect combination of both! In association with the New York Film Academy, USA, CIFF is pleased to present its complementary Filmmaking Workshops for young people. Therefore, whether you have experience in filmmaking or you are a first-time filmmaker, it always helps you (re)visit the fundamentals of filmmaking. The filmmaking workshops have been designed keeping young people in mind. The insights that these aspiring filmmakers will gain from these workshops will give them a better understanding of the little nuances of the entire filmmaking process. These insights are the difference between a good film and a bad film! The objective of Children’s International Film Festival is to identify, nurture and encourage young and aspiring filmmakers studying in schools in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) through its Filmmaking Competition as well as to set an internationally recognized standard of excellence in films and videos for children by inviting professional filmmakers from across the world to showcase their exceptional work made especially for children. To achieve these objectives, they have packed CIFF 2015 with filmmaking workshops, film appreciation forums, of course the filmmaking competition, meaningful and inspirational cinema from around the world.
