Burns and Roe Group, Inc., a leading engineering design firm, today announced it has made the ENR (Engineering News-Record) Top 500 Design Firms list. The Burns and Roe Group, Inc. ranks No. 100 in the 2014 ENR (Engineering News-Record) list of the nation's top 500 design firms.

Earlier today, through a joint press release, Burns and Roe Group (BRG) announced that Burns and Roe Enterprises (BRE) and POWER Engineers have entered into an agreement to merge BRE engineering services business activities into POWER Engineers. Burns and Roe has been awarded a contract from Covanta Energy Corporation to perform the detailed design associated with the installation of baghouses as replacement pollution control devices for existing electrostatic precipitators at the Essex County Resource Recovery Facility located in Newark, NJ.

Roth, Civil Engineer Corps., U.S. Navy (retired) has been promoted to Vice President, Government Services for Burns and Roe Services Corporation. In this capacity, he will have day-to-day responsibility for government operations.
