The Office of Fair Trading has imposed a £544,505 fine on the online payday lender MCO Capital Limited (MCO) for breaching the Money Laundering Regulations 2007. The OFT has also stopped MCO's ability to lend by revoking their consumer credit licence, partly as it was found that MCO failed to adequately verify loan applicant's identities.
