A recent Nielson study seems to show consumers really like the new Lumia 900 Smartphone.
In an email I just received from Nokia they highlighted the recognition this new smart phone is getting.
This Nielson study shows
96 percent of owners are extremely satisfied or somewhat satisfied with their Lumia 900.
95 percent of owners are willing to recommend the device.
83 percent say is it better or much better than expected.
85 percent say they would repurchase the Lumia 900.
That’s pretty darn good for this first shared Nokia and Microsoft device.
The big question is, can they translate that into sales and marketplace position.
There are many ingredients in the recipe to become a hit. This is very important, but this alone will not do it.
They must create a wave of attention and excitement. Something they have had some trouble with so far.
I hope they become a hit because the industry really needs other alternatives to the Apple and Google dominant marketplace.
This is a home run, but it is not the game. Keep it up. The game is not won by one home run, but a series of home runs.
This is however a big step in the right direction.
