Irvine BMW Proudly Announces Team Kids Held A Successful Carnival At Westpark Elementary

Irvine BMW Continues to Sponsor Team Kids’ 2011 Leadership Programs

Orange County, CA, March 23, 2011 — On March 21, 2011 – Irvine, Calif., – Team Kids’ Leadership program held another successful carnival at Westpark Elementary School to benefit the Red Cross.

The students involved with Team Kids’ Leadership Program from the Westpark Elementary School choose the Red Cross, as the charity they would help assist and support for the school year.

The carnival helped raise $814.54 for the Red Cross. The students were able to raise funds through a variety of interactive activities.

“We are so proud to be able to help sponsor Team Kids, a charity that supports the growth of our community’s youth,” said Steven Rudkin, Irvine BMW’s General Manager. “We’re extremely proud of the students energy and their efforts to help make a difference.”

The Team Kids Leadership Program is a 4-Week Challenge Program where kids learn about issues such as hunger, poverty, literacy, and the environment.

Kids are encouraged to form teams with their schoolmates and select a charity of their choice that they will raise funds for during the school year and 100% of funds raised by kids goes directly to the chosen charity.

Last year students involved in the program raised almost $20,000 for local charities. This year, the organization is excited to help motivate the student’s to continue to be leaders in their community by helping those around them.
