Tempe, AZ -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/18/2014 -- Kid Chef Eliana (Eliana de Las Casas), the award-winning 13 year old chef, radio show host, and author, has been named the Kids Ambassador of the Southern Food and Beverage Institute (SoFAB). In that capacity Kid Chef Eliana will represent the SoFAB Museum, the SoFAB Culinary Library and Archive, as well as the other divisions of the SoFAB Institute. Kid Chef Eliana and the SoFAB Institute will work together to spread the message of sustainability, healthy cooking and eating, and whole person literacy (including nutritional and reading literacy). Eliana says, “I’m excited to be the Kids Ambassador for SoFAB. I look forward to furthering my mission to get kids to eat and cook fresh foods with their families.”
The SoFAB Culinary Library and Archive has a goal of amassing the largest collection of children’s culinary literature in the country. “Who better to represent our youth outreach than Kid Chef Eliana?” remarked Liz Williams, President of the SoFAB Institute.
