4th Annual Hemp Harvest Party Celebrates Progress Throughout USA

Industrial hemp moves forward in 2017 with over 25,000 registered acres nationwide

Loveland, CO -- (ReleaseWire) -- 10/10/2017 --On Saturday, October 14, 2017 the 4th Annual Hemp Harvest Party will take place at The Oak Room @ Oskar Blues, a semi-private event space located on the Oskar Blues Brewery campus in Longmont, CO. Co-hosted by Colorado Hemp Company and Colorado Hemp Project, this year's event brings together over 35 hemp companies and organizations on the front lines of delivering this emerging industry to the mainstream of America. After all, hemp is the original colonial crop and was instrumental in the building of America. As we enter into the next phase of rebuilding America, hemp will once again be at the forefront in the coming years and decades.

Colorado Hemp Project CEO and Founder Bill "Wild" Billings, along with his daughter and co-founder Dani Billings, have been out front since the first legal harvest in 2014 and leading the charge with hemp farming, genetics, product development, retail store/spa development, and multi-state/country business expansion. "Wild" recently said "we got in this to help the farmers and to help the sick, and that's why we're still in it and that's why we'll stay in it. This crop can do so much for people's health and the health of the planet." The first #HempHarvestParty was held in Sterling, CO in 2014 on a farm that the Billings had partnered with to grow their first legal hemp crop in Colorado. Three years later, the event has grown into one of the best industry celebrations in the country.

The 2017 party is presented by Lilu's Gardens, a Colorado producer of high-quality, full-spectrum CBD oils, isolates, terpsolates and more. Additional supportive sponsors include Blue Circle Development, Miller Soils, and Bluebird Botanicals. Live music will feature Rob Trueblood and Friends followed by Send Them Hippies North, a new side project from Musketeer Gripweed frontman Jason Downing.

Colorado/Maui artist Tommy Nahulu will also be on site doing live painting on Hemp. International speaker, author, hemp farmer, goat herder and evangelist Doug Fine will be in the house sharing his energy, knowledge and humor. Z Catering from Fort Collins will be providing a festive hemp based food menu including Hemp Rocks, a traditional German Krautburger with farm to fork fresh veggies and meats, spiced with hemp-infusion and topped with CoHempCo Hemp Green Chili. And for the desert lovers, Chef Kent of Z will be preparing a whiskey sorbet using hemp whiskey from Coal Creek Distillery out of Crested Butte, CO.
