To help raise funds for his new Professionally Recorded, Mixed & Mastered album: Smoke & Mirrors, he has launched a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to $7,500 by Mon, May 4 2015, this provides campaign backers 30 days to help Reschad's dream come true. Reschad calls this campaign an "all or nothing" step towards achieving his dream.
In the write up for his Kickstarter campaign Reschad recalls that his love for music started at an early age during his childhood, he wrote: "I'm a Hip-Hop/everything Artist, being raised in Miami, Florida you learn how to grow up quick "or die trying"(Boondocks reference from the Soul plane 2 episode… if you were wondering). I was only 10 years old when I heard Nas check the scene with his classic album Illmatic, and since then I've been hooked!" Since then he has been practicing, polishing and performing his skills and now he needs help to raise the funds to realize his dream of creating a Professionally Recorded, Mixed & Mastered album.
About the type of music and themes of the songs on his album, Reschad said: "The time is now, to put together an album touching on sensitive topics (emotional & physical scars, life in Miami, the ills of military life, etc.) most would shy away from, the album will be called "Smoke & Mirrors". And I need your partnership."
Due to his line of work as an active duty member of the U.S. Armed Forces, he has been fortunate to many places in America and around the world, this has given Reschad the opportunity to understand their musical influences, preferences and the connection music has with everyday life which has allowed him to grow as an artist.
The money raised through the Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign will go towards first and foremost creating a Professionally Recorded, Mixed & Mastered album Smoke and Mirrors, the digital and physical release of the album on Amazon, Spotify, iTunes etc. and last but not the least the marketing and promotion of the album.
