Peterborough, UK -- (ReleaseWire) -- 07/18/2014 -- Peterborough-based plastic water tank specialist, Enduramaxx, is helping farmers to utilise a new wave of Farming and Improvement Scheme (FFIS) funding which could help them to buy rainwater tanks, amongst other vital farming items.
First made available last year, the FFIS is making a further stream of £19 million available to rural businesses across England aiming to boost competitiveness of rural farming and forestry businesses. Key aspects of the scheme focus around five themes which comprise; animal health and welfare, energy efficiency, nutrient management, water resource management and forestry. The additional £19 million is said to be expected to help around 2500 small businesses and will support circa 5000 farming and forestry jobs across England.
According to the FFIS, items that fall under the grant funding include: cluster flush, livestock handling facilities, automated footbaths, automatic shedding gates, heat detection systems, heat recovery systems, automated variable speed controllers for water and vacuum pumps, slurry separators, slurry injectors, dribble bars, trailing shoes, forestry grabs, wood chippers and rainwater harvesting.
Enduramaxx has been providing rainwater harvesting solutions to farmers for a number of years and supplies specialist plastic water tanks, vertical storage tanks, cone bottom tanks (conical tanks), horizontal tanks and of course, rainwater tanks, to a mainly farming and agriculture market. The company helps farmers to integrate solutions which enable them to collect roof rainwater run-off and provide a number of tanks in various shapes, sizes and capacities that make the most of space available. Made from rotationally moulded UV-stabilised polyethylene, rainwater is stored safely and in optimum conditions for when it is needed.
