Henderson, NV -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/26/2014 -- Romeo is a cute young cat like any other feline; he wants to have fun. He loves lying in the sun, being stroked to the point of purring and enjoys tasty food and snacks. After a refreshing drink of water Romeo has a problem that most cats don’t have; he can’t urinate.

Romeo has to have surgery to correct this. That’s because he has crystals in his bladder that prevent him from urinating. Through surgery his urethra will be shortened so he can relieve himself normally. Without this surgery he could die years before his time.

Romeo’s owner has already spent over $1,000 on vet bills and now she’s tapped out. She’s turning to crowdfunding to inspire the huge community of cat lovers to back this crowdfunding project so Romeo can get the medical help he needs to live a long, healthy life.

Every cat lover already understands Alicia’s predicament. She’s calling on the compassion and empathy of cat people everywhere to help her help Romeo.

Alicia is seeking $5,000 to pay for Romeo’s surgery. Should she exceed her funding goal, all additional funds raised will be donated directly to The Animal Foundation, a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization operating Nevada’s largest open-admission animal shelter and pet adoption center.
