Santa Fe, NM -- (ReleaseWire) -- 05/18/2012 -- Andiamo! Neighborhood Trattoria will hold its third “VinoSchmooze” on Tuesday, May 22nd. As the name suggests—“vino” being the Italian word for wine and “schmooze” a verb meaning “to talk intimately or cozily”—this event will offer a rare opportunity to explore regional Italian wine in an intimate, conversational setting. Andiamo!, is an Italian Restaurant in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Andiamo!’s inaugural VinoSchmooze was held on April 17th and showcased four wines from the Piedmont region in Italy, while the second VinoSchmooze, held on May 8th, shifted its focus to the Tuscany region of Italy. Entitled “Sardegna: A Self-Guided Tour,” the third VinoSchmooze will transport guests to yet another inspiring Italian locale. An island off the southern coast of Italy and a famed resort for savvy Italians, Sardegna hosts a fascinating food and wine story that is rooted in the conquests and travels of the most interesting and prominent cultures of Mediterranean history.
This event will take place from 5-9 PM on Tuesday, May 22nd. Wine will be available in 3, 6, and 9 oz. pours, and guests will have the chance to order dinner specials prepared to match the wines. Suggested pairings will also be offered for all regular menu items.
Andiamo!’s third VinoSchmooze promises to be as unique and enticing as the wine being tasted!
About Andiamo! Neighborhood Trattoria
They prepare the finest, local and seasonal ingredients a la minute with the utmost care and respect. The menu is inspired by Italian cuisine, but as food is born of the region, they try to stay true to their relationships with local growers. For that reason, they have continuously nurtured a strong connection between the Santa Fe Farmers Market and their kitchen — melding indigenous foods whenever possible, with key Italian imports.
