the world's finest watch makers showcase the latest creative and fashionable timepieces at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogene (SIHH.)

Holland, PA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 03/20/2014 -- Each year the world's finest watch makers showcase the latest creative and fashionable timepieces at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogene (SIHH.) While the focus seems to be purely based on fashion and luxury, look close enough to find fashionable and luxurious, yet affordable treasures. All designer watches are available at Timepiece Perfection.

IWC Aquatimer Automatic
The IWC Aquatimer Automatic is probably the smallest and most "entry-level" timepiece featured in the SIHH, however, that should not mean that it should be overlooked. Featuring a black or silver dial on a rubber strap or bracelet, it is powered by a IWC caliber 30120, which is based on ETA 2892.

Water resistant up to 300 meters/1000 feet, an innovative external/internal rotating bezel helps protect this beautiful timepiece from dirt and seaweed. A sliding clutch system connects the inner and outer bezels, and the inner bezel rotates only counterclockwise, to prevent the diver from accidentally extending the dive time.

Coated with Super-LumiNova, the dive time scale is in two colors, green for displays relevant to dive time and blue for the hour display.

The IWC Aquatimer Automatic retails for $5,750, which is subject to change.

Panerai Luminor Base 8 Days Acciaio - 44 min
Like the IWC Aquatimer Automatic, the Panerai Luminor Base 8 Days Acciaio is an "entry-level" timepiece for average-sized wrists that features a classic luminor case and crown guard, with a black sandwich dial.

The balance wheel is supported by a sturdy bridge and fixed by two screws, beneath which are threaded wings that turn in both directions, adding shock protection.

Featuring an eight day power reserve, twin assembly of two spring barrels with toothed rims enables longer, thinner springs to be used, giving longer duration and greater uniformity.

The Panerai Luminor Base 8 Days Acciaio retails for $7,800, which is subject to change.

Calibre de Cartier Diver
The Calibre de Cartier Diver features a reworked, thin case and typical timepiece standards cover the bezel and dial (motion and elapsed time display.) A luminous second hand makes this fashionable timepiece readable in both light and dark conditions.

Magnetic, shock, and chemical resistant, the strap and springbar strength can hold up to 45 pounds of stress. The screw-in crown allows up to 300 meters of water resistance.

The diver's bezel rotates in 120 increments controlled by three clicks. Coated by Super-LumiNova, the dial provides excellent visibility underwater.

The rubber strapped timepiece retails for $8,200, while the steel bracelet piece, with a thicker sapphire crystal retails for $8,900. Both timepiece prices are subject to change.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin features an ultra-thin automatic manufacture and a Caliber 896 movement, which stands 3.98mm high. Available in steel, it consists of 223 parts and runs with 32 jewels at 28,800vph for 43 hours on a single wind.

The case is 38.5mm X 7.58mm.

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin retails for $8,500 and is subject to change.

Montblanc Meisterstruck Heritage Perpetual Calendar
Featuring a classic presentation, the Montblanc Meisterstruck Heritage Perpetual Calendar is part of a new collection honoring the 90th anniversary of the brand's Meisterstruck writing instruments.

The case is 39mm in diameter and 10.24mm thick and small blued hands provide the calendar indications. The date is shown at 3pm, the day of the week at 9pm, and the month at 12pm. Moon phases are displayed in a window at 6pm, while the moon's age is indicated in days at the window's upper edge.

The Montblanc Meisterstruck Heritage Perpetual Calendar's movement ticks at 28,800vph and has 25 jewels, for a power reserve of 42 hours. Each timepiece must pass Montblanc's 500 hour quality test.

It retails for $12,800, which is subject to change.
