Summary:

The Middle East and Africa will add substantial LNG liquefaction capacity during the 2014 to 2018 period through the emergence of five new LNG exporting countries - Mozambique, Iran, Iraq, Cameroon and Israel. Mozambique is expected to witness the highest liquefaction capacity addition of all the countries in the region, followed by Iran and Algeria. The regasification capacity of the region will also increase substantially through the emergence of seven new countries. Of these, Jordan is expected to register the highest capacity addition followed by Bahrain and Egypt. The annual capital expenditure for the planned liquefaction terminals will increase by 139% in the Middle East and Africa during the 2014 to 2018 period. The capital expenditure for the planned regasification terminals will decrease by 57%.
