Cupertino, CA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 07/22/2014 -- Ultriva, Inc., provider of cloud-based supply chain execution software, went live with the sixth plant for a successful laboratory equipment company. The laboratory equipment company makes equipment used in scientific studies. The company is using Ultriva’s Collaborative Supply Portal (CSP) to give all partners a real-time view of parts. One of the suppliers is from China with a 10-day lead time, and using CSP will allow all parties to see exactly when the parts will arrive. Ultriva will also help the international company to improve their processes and streamline Kanban to allow them to become more efficient.
Ultriva was able to go live in two months from the beginning of the deployment process. This is inclusive of integration of six different integration points to the existing enterprise resource planning (ERP).
Ultriva’s Collaborative Supply Portal Inventory status report provides visibility at a part level, of what is on-hand, on-order, in process, in transit or in receiving. The summary shows order work flow, kanban signals and material requirements planning (MRP) orders, drill down to see details of individual orders and kanban signals, as well as detailed status for each part by order line.
Manufacturers and distributors require an action date for release, acknowledgement and shipment as well as shipment information for shipped parts. Customers want an expected receipt date along with tracking number.
Symbols indicating late orders, notes and no shipping labels are vital along with a Supplier Scorecard to view performance of each supplier action.
