Conflict-Free Sourcing Initiative CMRT Version 3.02 Automation Now Available

Only Green Status Pro Delivers the Ability to Accurately Perform 2014 Year-End SEC Conflict Minerals Reporting in Conformance with Newly Released Industry Standard Smelter List

Woburn, MA -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/18/2014 -- Green Status Pro, the leader in Conflict Minerals Reporting Automation, announces that its Ingestor™ is the first Conflict Minerals Reporting software service to incorporate CMRT Version 3.02 into RCOI (Reasonable Country of Origin) reporting. Only Ingestor’s technology can generate the 100% accurate RCOI reports required by the SEC for achieving compliance with Dodd-Frank Section 1502.

The Conflict-Free Sourcing Initiative (CFSI) released CMRT Version 3.02 on November 7th. entified by the CFSI. Manufacturers whose products contain gold, tin, tantalum or tungsten (the conflict minerals) use the CMRT to report the source and custody of these metals back to the smelters identified by the CFSI. The CFSI recommends that companies use the 3.02 version of the Standard Smelter List for filing Form SD with the SEC.

“Manufacturers that must report the countries of origin of their conflict minerals used in 2014 to the SEC using Form SD have been given a new smelter reference list with V3.02 that is significantly different than the previous version,” stated John Logan, Green Status Pro founder. “The vast majority of these manufacturers have customers urgently demanding an updated, accurate CMRT so they can complete their own year-end reporting.”

There are approximately 20,000 companies worldwide that must update their RCOI reports and CMRTs over the next 75 days to meet their internal 2014 year-end conflict minerals reporting deadline. These companies include 1,300 SEC Filers and the members of their supply chain. The majority of these companies still use manual methods. Companies with over 20 suppliers using manual methods are not able to support 100% accurate year-end reporting. The transition to the Version 3.02 Standard Smelter List is too error prone and time consuming to meet the reporting deadlines already in place. In addition, new reports must be generated each time a supplier provides an updated CMRT, which may be as often as less than every 2 weeks during this transition period.

Leo De Nevi, Green Status Pro Chief Technology Officer, explained, “Our technology manages future updates to the CMRT format and requirements without affecting your current formats, seamlessly integrating them.”

“Green Status Pro Ingestor is the better, faster, cheaper approach to 2014 year-end conflict minerals reporting,” Rob Kasameyer, Green Status Pro president added. “Ingestor is 100% accurate using CMRT V3.02 versus less than the 60% accuracy of manual methods. Ingestor can update a company’s required RCOI reports in 10 minutes versus the days or weeks required by manual methods. And Ingestor typically provides companies with a 20 times payback versus manual methods.”

Ingestor is a secure, cloud-based application that reads, validates, manages and reports conflict minerals reporting data communicated from suppliers to their customers using the CMRT. Green Status Pro conducts 30-minute Ingestor walkthroughs on request to review how Ingestor meets the specific needs of Conflict Minerals Sustainability Managers.
