Report Published: "Soup in Uzbekistan"
Soup remains one the least developed categories within packaged food in Uzbekistan. In 2013 total volume sales reached just 1,360 tonnes, generating retail value sales of UZS32 billion. The reason for such low sales is that soup is perceived as unconventional in Uzbekistan. All sales take place in central urban areas of Tashkent city; yet even there, only a limited number of consumers regularly consume soup.
