New Report Available: Georgia in 2030: The Future Demographic
In 2030, the population of Georgia will reach 4.1 million, a decrease of 8.0% from 2012. As well as negative net migration, Georgia's population decline is affected by falling birth rates due to a decline in the number of women of childbearing age. Georgia is overwhelmingly a country of outwards migration, with the World Bank estimating that 1.1 million Georgians lived outside the country in 2010.
