In 2013 the non-store retailing channel registered 10% value growth and sales of GTQ7.5 billion. Internet retailing, even though in its initial phase, was the strongest growth category. Consumers are gaining confidence to shop online and the category registered a strong value growth rate of 17%. The internet has proven to be an effective strategy to reach a wider consumer base without having to open more stores.
