This was mainly due to the price hikes in 2012, which are set to stabilise in 2013. On the other hand, consumers' growing sophistication and health consciousness continues to benefit the performance of yoghurt during 2013. Besides being a source of calcium, some consumers also utilise yoghurt as a healthy snack due to its low fat content.
