Total volume of wine sold in Australia in 2013 grew marginally, whereas a push towards higher end products and inflationary pressures resulted in off-trade value growth of 4%. This is a marginal drop from the volume growth over the review period averaging around 1% per annum. The reduction in volume is due to a consumer shift away from cheap, high volume products, such as cask wine.
