Dad Does Releases Review on Nerf N-Strike Elite Hail-Fire Blaster

Can The N-Strike Elite Pickoff a Bear At 75 Feet Away?

New York, NY -- (ReleaseWire) -- 09/19/2012 -- For a while, Nerf blasters were the only game in town if you wanted to have battles with your friends. Nearly every house that had a 6-10 year old boy in it, also had a basement full of orange foam Nerf darts.

Over the past few years, Nerf has been challenged by more powerful blasters from Max Force, Xploderz and Vapor. Suddenly, Nerf Blasters seemed to lack the range and power of the new toy blasters. Now, for the 2012 Holiday Toy Season, Nerf is battling back with the brand new N-Strike Elite line of blasters.

The N-Strike Elite uses a new Elite dart, that Nerf claims can be fired 75 feet. In order to test out the distance claims, DadDoes.Com, an independent product review blog, did range testing and a review of the Nerf N-Strike Elite Hail-Fire Blaster.

To test the range of the Nerf HailFire, DadDoes.Com measured out 75 feet and then captured the firing of the Nerf Hail-Fire on video. In addition to testing the range of the Nerf Hail-Fire, they also tested the accuracy by putting a toy bear at 75 feet and trying to shoot it.

“We were shocked when that somewhat normal looking Nerf Elite dart when flying over the 75 foot mark. You do need to arc your shoot, but clearly the N-Strike Elite lives up to the claim as the longest range Nerf blaster in history. The accuracy is impressive as well, we were able to hit the bear at 75 feet away” states Dan Nessel of DadDoes.Com .

While the N-Strike Elite Hail-Fire is a classic boy toy, DadDoes.Com has not forgotten about the girls. On their site, they have a list of the Top Toys for Girls 2012 and also state they are actively doing more reviews of girl toys.

Nessel concludes, “We have been guilty of focusing on boy toys more than girl toys. Our series on the best RC toys for 2012 was probably a little male oriented. Still, we do believe that boys and girls really can play with the same toys and in our testing find that girls love flying the RC helicopters and blasting away with the Nerf guns.”
