Ranger was started in 1969 by Forrest L Wood, who began with 6 boat designs, and it has remained one of the premier boats since then, gradually expanding its lineup to 3 dozen models in 9 different lines.

Sea Ark Aluminum Fishing Boats

Sea Ark Boats have an even longer history than Ranger boats – the company was originally founded by Zach McClendon Sr., his son Zach McClendon Jr. and Norris Judkins as the MonArk Boat Company in 1958. In 1988, the pleasure boat division and the MonArk name was sold to the Brunswick Corporation. The McClendon family retained the workboat division, and renamed it SeaArk Marine. They began building fishing and pleasure boats again in the early 1990’s.

Sea Ark is still guided by the McClendon family, and is now led by Robin McClendon, Zach Jr.’s daughter. They have built a reputation for over-building the toughest aluminum boats on the market to suit a variety of needs. The Sea Ark boats are welded aluminum and have features such as extruded keels and cap rails as well as heavy duty ribs.
