Derbyshire, UK -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/10/2014 -- The Great Northern Run takes runners around the surrounding Mickleover country lanes and returns on the renowned former Great Northern Railway line. The 10k race is open to anybody over the age of 15 and there is a family run open to anybody over the age of 7 which takes place over a traffic-free course. The objective of the run is to raise funds for Mickleover Sports Junior Football Club and for Mesothelioma UK.

The Nrgize Health and Fitness team will be in attendance providing warm up exercises and stretches to contenders, activating muscles prior to the event, something that will help greatly reduce the likelihood of injury and will minimize the effect of DOMS, or delayed onset muscle soreness. Athletes will also be offered post-race massage at Nrgize’s Derby sports injury clinic tofurther reduce the onset of DOMS.

Huub Design, a leading swimwear specialist and designer of the Archimedes Triathlon Wetsuit is sponsoring the event and the company has also asked Nrgize’s Nina Flint to support their triathlon team that includes Formula One star Jenson Button. “The Great Northern Run is for two wonderful causes.
