Auburn, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/22/2015 -- Amanda launched a campaign on life.indiegogo to get support from visitors across the globe. The goal of the campaign is to collect $3,000 USD that will be used for the further education and get a California Driver's License.

When contacted, Mikaela Bennett, the mother of Amanda said, "Yes, we have started a campaign on life.indiegogo in hope to get financial support from viewers. It's for my daughter's college and driver's license fund. She is a straight A student and all the work that she does with her high school's music department, leaves her no time for anything else. I'm very proud of her." She further added, "Being so active in school, she does not have time to work. To get her driver's license, she is required to log time with a driving instructor, which is expensive. In addition to completing this course, she would like to be able to put money aside for school. Her future is bright."

Amanda is soon going to start senior year in high school and she is also active in high school's music program including marching band, advanced concert band and drum line. She plays the flute, piccolo and mallet percussion. Amanda is also the section leader of both advanced and marching band flute sections; co-captain of drum line and section leader of the front ensemble of the drum line. She takes higher level classes and maintains a 4.0 grade point. She has been trying to save money for school, including money for college, and get her driver's license.

In addition to being section leader she is also co-captain of entire drumline unit and section leader of the front ensemble of the drumline that is called the pit. In order to get California Driver's License, she has to complete a driver's education course with an instructor. She has already finished the written test and a 30 hour online course, but need to take lessons with the instructor, which are quite pricey.
