Education for Orphans Now Possible Through the Efforts of NGO Canadian Friends of Pearl Children

Ontario, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/17/2014 -- Canadian Friends of Pearl Children, a charity organization started by director Dvora Rotenberg, recently announced the launch of its new campaign on Indiegogo. The organization is working tirelessly to raise $15,000 to provide Ugandan orphans with the necessary funds for their education.

The main reason that the organization started its campaign was because it did not have enough funds this term to provide education for orphans. Canadian Friends of Pearl Children wants to assist communities with breaking the cycle of poverty—starting with education.

The $15,000 raised will send primary, secondary, and university students back to school. Each student’s tuition, school supplies, dormitory fees, mosquito nets, and health care will be paid for with the funds. Patrons are also encouraged to sponsor a child individually and make a difference in a child’s life. Sponsors will be able to email with their child, receive progress reports and report cards, and keep in contact.

“The goal of Canadian Friends of Pearl Children is to send as many children to school as possible and find ways in which communities and villages can become self sustaining,” stated an article on the charity organization’s Indiegogo page. It also noted that no donation is too small.

“By helping us educate our children, they can become productive members of society and help their communities to prosper.”

Rotenberg founded Canadian Friends of Pearl Children after her first visit to Uganda in 2008. The organization raises funds for a variety of causes, including education, food, healthcare, self-sustainment programs, and women’s empowerment.
