New Market Research Report: Consumer Foodservice in Austria
The overall consumer foodservice industry stagnated in terms of value in 2012, whilst registering a slight decline in terms of both the number of outlets and transactions. The rather low consumer confidence index registered through 2012 caused an increasing shift to fast food, which was able to post the highest value growth, benefiting from its more favourable menu offerings compared to other segments of consumer foodservice, all of which saw negative value growth in 2012.
