However, value growth of 5% was identified in traditional toys and games in 2012, which registered sales of S$193 million. 2012 was the Year of the Dragon according to the Chinese calendar and the calendar's most auspicious zodiac sign. Subsequently, 2012 saw a significant rise in the number of babies born, which prompted value growth in traditional toys and games.
