"Jewellery in Argentina" Published
Import barriers severely affected jewellery in Argentina, mostly during 2012, and although restrictions have been relaxed by the revocation of non-automatic licences, they continued to affect the category in 2013. By means of the Advanced Sworn Statement on Imports (DJIA), the government continued its control over imports to prevent further deterioration of foreign exchange reserves at the Central Bank. Sumptuary consumption has been mostly affected, including of luxury goods and jewellery.
