More consumers began to opt for domestic olive oil brands, but the very wide offer of brands and options with different olive varieties, mixes of two and three varieties and herb-flavoured alternatives, made these first years difficult for companies to make a name and for consumers to establish their preferences. Nevertheless, and despite the comparatively high prices, domestic olive oil became a valid option to traditional brands produced in Argentina, Italy and Spain.
