In 2013, manufacturers of packaged soup are continuing to invest in product innovation in order to develop demand for soup outside the cold periods of the year. They are also continuing to try to attract new consumers, such as urban ones, with chilled soups that can be consumed on the go. Although the economic situation has led consumers to increasingly prefer homemade soup, increasingly busy lifestyles are ensuring consumer appreciation for the convenience of packaged soup.
