Recently Released Market Study: Pasta in the Philippines
Towards 2013, pasta in the Philippines enjoyed progressively stronger demand. This was not only in terms of birthdays and special occasions, with spaghetti being a mainstay, but also increasingly as a meal in itself. This was largely triggered by the increased popularity of gourmet cooking shows and the rising availability of ingredients for homemade pasta dishes. As a result, pasta recorded an increase of slightly over 4% in volume terms in 2013.
