Now Available: Weight Management in New Zealand
According to Euromonitor International, 33% of the New Zealand population (those adults aged 15 years and older) were obese (body mass index of 30 and over) during 2013. The obesity rate among men was 32% compared with 35% for women in 2013. Indeed, the obese population increased from 27% in 2008 to 33% in 2013. Obesity tends to be more prevalent among Maori, Pacific Island and South Asian communities in New Zealand.
