Detroit, MI -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/20/2014 -- The Awkward Yeti's Complete Lack of Focus: Volume 2 is the second installment of cartoons, comics and illustrations by The Awkward Yeti. It doesn't include everything, just 100 pages of the BEST, in one paperback book. This book is currently 90% complete.

The Sun is Kind of a Big Deal is a children's book (7.5" x 7.5" paperback, 36 pgs) about the Sun and the role it plays in the solar system, and some of the great things it does for Earth. It's fun, it's simple, and it's educational. Great for ages 3-8. The book is currently written and partially illustrated.

The Yeti and the Narwhal is a book about being different, and it features Lars The Awkward Yeti as he goes in search of a friend who will understand him. He meets Pokey the narwhal, a happy-go-lucky dude who has no problem with Lars' many quirks. The book is written, and about 40% illustrated.

Lars, The Awkward Yeti Plush Toy is approximately 12"h and pretty darn lovable. Using money from past book sales, Nick reinvested into a plush design and prototype, which is now in progress. He wanted to get a head start because it will speed up production if the prototype is already approved.

There's a lot of work still to be done, but Nick is up for the challenge. During the Kickstarter, he'll be spending every available hour after work completing the books so they can go to print in a timely manner.

The initial goal of the Kickstarter is $18,000. This is the minimum Nick needs to cover the project costs for all four projects, bonus rewards, Kickstarter and Amazon fees, and the huge shipping costs involved. There is no profit factored into this goal.
