Jeddah in particular has a problem with mosquitoes and many harmful insects. In 2012, the city signed two contracts worth SR135 million to deploy 741 workers in 179 vehicles to fight mosquitoes.

Saudi Johnson dominated sales of home insecticides throughout the review period and accounted for a 58% value share in 2013. The company offers an extensive range of products under its well-known Raid and Baygon brands, which are viewed as safe and effective. The company dominated both spray/aerosol insecticides and other home insecticides in 2013 with shares of 59% and 74%, respectively, and also led sales of electric insecticides and insecticide baits with shares of 36% and 35%, respectively.
