Horizon Display Creates New Software Division, Studio 5

Studio 5 division created to help grow the interactive experience marketplace

Lake Forest, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/22/2014 -- Horizon Display announced that they have taken their software and application offerings, once bundled under the Horizon Display name, and created its own division. The name of the resulting brand is Studio 5 and can be found at www.multi-touch.com

“We felt that we had reached a point in the maturity of our software and application development services which justified separating it from our long standing hardware and custom engineering brand. We want our customers to know that we are fully committed to their touch screen hardware needs, and so eliminating confusion was a top priority,” explained GM, Matthew Cutone.

Studio 5 is still managed by the core ownership group which has overseen the growth of Horizon Display. The synergy between the divisions is expected to be vital to the success of existing and new customers. However, customers now have the flexibility of choosing their hardware, while still receiving the creative direction and touch screen software experience they expect.

“It’s quite simple really. We want to help grow the interactive experience marketplace, and we want to be leaders in the ideation and standards that make for a successful user experience. But we didn’t want our customers to feel that their hands were tied. Now we can offer the leadership, design expertise, and most importantly the focus on connecting business objectives with touch technology, all while staying truly agnostic to which touch device our customers prefer, or may already have invested in,” added Creative Director, Stephen Gladden.

Studio 5 is committed to three areas: large multi-touch experiences, interactive digital signage, and interactive data visualization.

“We chose these areas of focus because we firmly believe if done correctly, and done with human experience in mind, that they can all drive real measurable business benefit to our customers. Making those dollars and cents connections is crucial to our realization and theirs,” said Mr. Cutone.

A spokesperson urged prospective customers to visit Studio 5, “If you’re interested in growing your interactive strategy and have an idea which needs nurturing and visionary leadership to help it grow, please visit Studio 5 today, and start by submitting an online Solutions Brief™. The questions in there are meant to help shape an idea into a vision, and transform a vision into a tangible investment. It’s where all Studio customers begin their journey.”
