Houston, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/07/2014 -- On Tuesday, April 8, 2014, Houston Press will host its 12th annual Houston food and wine festival, Menu of Menus Extravaganza, from 7-10 p.m. at Silver Street Station, 1501 Silver Street, off Washington Ave. The Menu of Menus 2014 Extravaganza, presented by Stella Artois, is one of Houston's largest food and wine events featuring over 40 area restaurants alongside wine, beer and spirit sampling.
The Houston food festival will also feature the 3rd Annual Iron Fork Competition presented by Whole Foods Market. Celebrity chef Randy Evans of Haven will moderate the competition between two local chefs as they go head-to-head to produce the best dish using a basket of secret ingredients. Kevin Naderi, executive chef and owner of Roost, will be defending his champion title against Kevin Bryant of Eleven XI.
Tickets to the Houston festival are all inclusive. General Admission tickets to the food and wine festival in Texas cost $40 and include food, beer, wine and liquor sampling. VIP tickets are $80 and include entrance into the event 1 hour prior to the general public and complimentary valet before 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available on MenuofMenus.com.
As it notes on the event website, the event is for people over the age of 21 only, and children will not be permitted inside the doors, even when accompanied by their parents. All guests must have a valid I.D. to show at the door. Because the event is likely to sell out, event organizers strongly encourage people to purchase tickets ahead of time.
