Delivering beverages to convenience stores and other retailers can be a difficult and complex process. Drivers have to make multiple trips in and out of the store. They are exposed to the elements as they load carts outside, and they have to stack merchandise wherever space is available inside.
One of Magline's dealers alerted the company to a beer distributor that was trying to address these problems with locally produced, costly custom carts. Magline visited the distributor, traveled with its drivers, and researched the carts and their use patterns. The company discovered other distributors struggling to have similar carts made to address the challenges they were experiencing. Magline pooled that knowledge and provided an effective solution by designing the Magliner Bulk Delivery Truck for the beer and soft drink industry.
The Bulk Delivery Truck can hold 55 cases of cans or 25 cases of bottles (1,200 pounds total). Cases are stacked on the truck at the warehouse and loaded onto end-load trailers with liftgates, which are less expensive and handle more payload than bay trucks. Once at the retailer, drivers can roll the Bulk Delivery Trucks directly into the store for unloading, greatly reducing drivers' time outside and minimizing space needed inside the store. This system cuts account service time up to 50 percent; reduces capital expenditure and operating expenses; and keeps drivers safer, healthier, and more productive.
