Industrial Designer David Jackson Starts Kickstarter Campaign to Develop RazorPOD

RazorPOD prevents the rust that destroys razor blades’ sharpness. Save money by using a razor up to 5 times longer.

Atlanta, GA -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/10/2014 -- Most people believe the act of "shaving" dulls a razor blade, this is false...it's a result of corrosion, actually "micro-rust", that degrades the blades leading edge and destroys the performance.  Constant exposure to water and moisture causes the paper-thin cutting edge of the metal blade to rust and flake away, which shortens the effective life.

RazorPOD creates a zero humidity micro-environment where a razor blade is dried and stored. RazorPOD protects the razor by using super-absorbing, renewable silica desiccant beads.  These amazing little beads absorb lingering water droplets that cause the blades to rust and dull.  As the beads change color, an indicator window notifies when to plug in RazorPOD to renew the silica beads.

David Jackson has over 20 years of experience in product design, development and manufacturing.  His career began as an Industrial Designer and his current day job is Sr. Director of Market Development for one of the largest product development firms in the southeast.  David has tried and true relationships with manufactures around the globe.  For this project, he will be working with a manufacturer that has been a partner on many of his projects over the last 5 years. Together they have produced hundreds of thousands of parts and assembled these into actual consumer products that are sold in some of the nation’s largest retailers.

The RazorPOD will be manufactured offshore and David’s manufacturing partner has a great track record of managing the QA/QC process to ensure he receives high quality finished goods.  David also has a great partner in Atlanta, GA who manages all of the warehousing, distribution and logistics for the products that David currently manufactured.  David plans to use his local partner to help with the fulfillment of the RazorPOD once it arrives in the USA.

This project will only be funded if at least $15,000 is pledged by Sat, May 17 2014 9:24 PM +05:30.
