Matawan, NJ -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/04/2014 -- The app is designed to solve people’s daily problems in the kitchen by providing them with new recipes they can make out of their available ingredients at home. The app is called IngredientMatcher. It has launched a crowdfunding campaign to gather weeknight recipes that can be used to benefit users all over the world.
When people arrive home, they want to start cooking right away and not spend precious time searching for recipes, and in most cases they realize that they are missing vital ingredients. In a Good Food study, eight out of ten people admitted to cooking the same dishes over and over again. On the other hand, they still want to try something new or get help in finding which of their favorite recipes they should cook tonight. IngredientMatcher has a solution to this by finding recipes based on what is already at home.
Another novel thing is that national dishes from countries all over the world is found here. More than 100 were submitted by food bloggers and alike from each country. The ambition is to grow to the largest international online-based recipe site in the world. That is made possible by having recipes viewable in different languages.
Swedish management consultant Karl Söderman is behind this concept, and by using competition on Facebook, he managed to get many food bloggers from different countries to engage.
Karl got the idea for IngredientMatcher when he got tired of cooking the same old dishes over and over again because he lacked some ingredients or the inspiration/knowledge of what could be made.
IngredientMatcher launched a crowdfunding campaign to gather the best weeknight recipes. Once the recipe database is big enough, IngredientMatcher will be able to solve the ever present question: What should I make for dinner tonight?
