There is still the possibility of confrontation with Iran and it is unclear if pro-peace centrists will be able to influence the government's hawkish stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The slowdown is thought to only affect so-called 'blue and white' procurements where the MoD purchases equipment from local manufacturers in local currency, as a consequence, the procurement of foreign materiel is said to be unaffected.
