Kickstarter Revamps 80's Horror Films with "Poopface"

New York, NY -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/14/2014 -- New horror movie “Poopface” is quickly becoming one of the most popular projects on Kickstarter. In a world on its way to the 100th Transformer’s movie sequel it’s refreshing to see a new movie sparking interest that goes against the grain. The preview for the film can be seen at http://kck.st/1raKrGa.

“Poopface” follows Wendy Myers, a shy socially awkward 12 year old girl that represents the person that no one quite understands, the class scapegoat. The one person that a "normal" kid can vent all it's insecurities, all their negative emotion, all their fear. That person is Wendy.

Wendy's peers have the habit of dunking her head in the toilet which quickly leads to her being known by the nickname "Poopface." One day Wendy is in the school bathroom receiving her normal routine of toilet abuse. On this particular occasion her classmates hold her head underwater for to long and she drowns. The death is ruled as a slip and fall accident and none of the kids are so much as punished. At least not at the moment...

The thing about death is that it's temporary, at least for Wendy. Due to Wendy's unlikely death she gains the ghostly powers of being able to wipe her poop on people and assume their form. Every person that had anything to do with her death now becomes a target.

Once she possesses her victim's bodies she ruins their life from the inside out. Every aspect of the victim's life from their social standings to their family interaction is destroyed as Poopface possesses them. Just as the personal damage is at it's peak she leaves the victims body and with the pain to much to bear, it causes their instant death. Every person associated with her death now becomes a target for her smelly rampage.

“The Ring” meets “Carrie” in this horror suspense with a touch of comedy. Movies such as “Evil Dead” and many 80's horror movies were well known for mixing horror and comedic elements and when done right there is no equal for the movie going experience.

Kickstarter campaigns operate under an “all-or-nothing” funding model so “Poopface” will only be made with your support to meet it’s funding goal. To follow their project, be sure to find them on Kickstarter at http://kck.st/1raKrGa and spread the word to your social media networks. Consider donating to help this very cool new project come to life!
