Fulton, MD -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/28/2014 -- Award-winning workforce development company, KRA Corporation, has been chosen as a Legendary Candidates Academy Partner to prepare Baltimore City residents to fill 1,700 positions for the $442 million Horseshoe Casino Baltimore.

The Maryland-based company’s Work Participation, Placement, and Support Services Program, operated for the Baltimore City Department of Social Services, will play a pivotal role in helping to prepare Baltimore residents for the 1,700 new positions resulting from a massive Casino expansion program on Russell Street in downtown Baltimore.

The push to have Baltimore City residents fill the available jobs is high on both the city government and Horseshoe Casino executives’ agenda with Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake saying, “I want all 1,700 to come from Baltimore.”

The Horseshoe Baltimore Legendary Candidates Academy is a proprietary job-prep program consisting of a series of 2-day, 6-hour training sessions that provide in-depth information about the requirements for various Casino positions, outline the pre-employment process, underscore Horseshoe Baltimore’s emphasis on exceptional customer service, and prepare candidates for position-specific interviews.

Candidates who receive a Certificate of Completion are given preference when online applications are reviewed.
