Boston, MA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 07/22/2014 -- Laundry care remained the leading category within home care in 2013, led by laundry detergents which registered an increasing presence of concentrated liquid detergents and liquid tablet detergents. The other notable trend was detergents with included laundry aids, such as the new Colon with Vanish from Reckitt Benckiser or Dixan Gel 2 in 1 from Henkel, with softener and anti-scouring agent.
Laundry care was led by four large players in 2013. Procter & Gamble was the leader with a 14% retail value share, followed by Reckitt Benckiser with 12%, Henkel with 11% and Unilever with 10%.
