Lift 23/Pedigree Ski Shops Donates and Deliver More Than 600 Pairs of Socks to Children in NYC Shelters for Valentine's Day

New York, NY -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/18/2015 -- Lift 23 Corp. is pleased to announce that one of its retail partners, Pedigree Ski Shop, sold more than 600 pairs of Lift 23 ski/snow socks, enabling Lift 23 to donate 600 pairs of socks to children living in the NYC homeless shelter system. Ed Del Guercio, Lift 23's CEO, personally delivered the socks to 2 large shelters in the Bronx, packaged with Valentine's Day treats.

Lift 23 and its retail partners are on a mission to put a new pair of socks on each of the 23,000 kids living in the NYC shelter system. Once this first goal is met, Lift 23 and its partners will take the mission nationally, meeting the needs of the shelters in the communities of the retailers. Socks are one of the most requested items at homeless shelters, yet one of the least donated. Lift 23 is helping to fill that void by donating a pair of socks to homeless children for every pair it sells.

"We couldn't be happier having Pedigree Ski Shop as a retail partner," said Ed Del Guercio, CEO of Lift 23 Corp. "They recognize the high quality of the Lift 23 product and are enthusiastic about getting socks to kids who really need them. The 600 socks that we are donating because of Pedigree will really make a difference, and we were happy to distribute them during a holiday embracing love and friendship."

"We are very excited to be working with Lift 23," said Tom Fuerst, President of Pedigree Ski Shop. Not only can we serve our customers by offering them warm and comfortable ski socks, but we can offer them a way to give back to the community with a purchase. It's a true win-win."
