Lottery Survey Shows 44% of People Would Buy a New House if They Won the Irish Lottery

Dublin, Ireland -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/29/2014 -- Winning the lottery is a dream come true for millions of people around the world. Everyone who plays the lottery hopes their numbers will come up, but what is the first thing people would buy if they won a big Irish Lottery jackpot? According to a survey conducted by International Lottery Subscriptions (ILS), it would be a new house.

The popular lottery entry service, which allows people to play the world’s biggest lotteries online, also found that 66% of lottery winners would save the bulk of their winnings if they won the Irish lottery jackpot.

International Lottery Subscriptions asked 1,123 players on their Irish lottery site http://www.irishlotto.net what they would spend their money on if all their numbers came up. According to the results of the survey, 44% of Irish lottery players would buy a new house while 21% said they would settle their debts. Surprisingly enough, according to the research only 7% of Irish Lottery players would buy a new car.

The lottery survey also showed that 67% of players had won a lottery prize in the past. And contrary to popular belief that the majority of adults are careful with their money and reluctant to help others, the survey found that 91% of lottery players would share their winnings.
